Celebrating 29 years with a delicious Chantilly cake! |
I’m officially 29 years old today, and yet I don’t look a
day over 21! LOL! In all seriousness, I am just extremely happy and blessed to
see another year. My goal is always to make each year better than the last, so
this year will be no exception. I hope to inspire more, learn more, live more,
and never be afraid to step out of my comfort zone :-)
A very humorous birthday card from my daughter |
As for birthday celebrations, I will be spending the day
studying for tomorrow’s final reproductive exam. Last year, I think I spent my
entire birthday studying for an exam as well, but knowing that this will be the
last birthday I spend locked in my room trying to memorize PowerPoint slides is
priceless! In just a few months I will be transitioning from classroom learning
to hospital-based rotations, and I couldn’t be happier. I’m definitely looking forward to all the new
experiences this year has in store :-) The above picture is part of a homemade
birthday card that my daughter made for me today, and the bottom right part
still has me cracking up! I am truly blessed to have a child who not only
understands the sacrifices I have to make with this journey, but who does her
best to always keep me smiling.
Welp, back to studying I go, but as always, wishing everyone
a fantastic week!
Happy B'day Dr.D!! You're so mature for your age, I thought you were in your early 30's, at least! And yes hunty, Black don't crack, ROTFL!!!!!
ReplyDeleteLOL at your daughter's card, I DO believe we have a future Physician in our midst!!
DeleteHaha, thank you! Yep, when I'm 40 I'll look 20! And I'm starting to think she might just go the physician route too lol
